Popty House

Popty is a family run semi-detached house located in the small village of Dyffryn Cellwen 13 miles from Neath in the idyllic and picturesque Dulais Valley, we employ a mixture of full and part time staff who reside mainly in the Dulais Valley.  Transport at the home consists of a people carrier and two 4 x 4 vehicles to transport our 3 male service users around the picturesque South Wales valleys and beautiful Gower coast.  The local shops, pubs, doctors surgery and dentist are all within walking distance, however the local college and local leisure centre facilities require a short drive to access their facilities.

All clients have their own lockable rooms with an individual secure drawer to keep their small personal possessions.  When family and friends visit they can use the dining room or living room to discuss private matters with our service users.         Family and friends are always made welcome and are offered a meal or refreshments we normally encourage visitations between 0930 - 1900.

Our service users share communal areas such as the:
Activity Room     -           For arts and crafts.

Dining Room       -           where we encourage all our service users and staff to sit together during all meal
                                       times this enhances the family values we strive for but also creates an opportunity
                                       for social integration.
Living Room        -           suitably furnished with a 3/2 piece suite, nest of coffee tables, TV (Sky) and
                                       Video.
Garden area        -           The rear garden, which consists of a patio area.
